POSITION DESCRIPTION
DBL Law is seeking a Transactional Associate Attorney to add to their Louisville, KY office. This position will perform associate level legal work for the Transactional practice group, as well as occasionally support the Corporate and Real Estate practice areas as needed. The associate will work with supervising attorneys to represent clients in a variety of matters. The position offers competitive salary and benefits, and a collegial work environment, and reports to the partner in charge of the Louisville office.
JOB DUTIES
- Negotiate, draft, review, and revise various contracts and agreements.
- Negotiate, draft, review, and revise various motions and settlements.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on various corporate matters to clients, such as business transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Complete due diligence related to real estate transactions, including closings.
- Assess risk and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Conduct research on current and emerging legal issues in the Transactional, Corporate, and Real Estate Practice areas.
- Offer legal advice on matters regarding fiscal responsibilities and transactions.
- Offer legal counsel on general compliance matters.
- Work out issues that arise from projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree and experience practicing in Transactional, Corporate, or Real Estate law.
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience practicing as an associate attorney.
- Demonstrated drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A high level of organizational skills.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
